The WIMG social committee invites you to an event featuring the Star Dome, a mobile planetarium.

This event will be facilitated by Darren Townsley, the owner of Star Dome, a multimedia computer projection system that can simulate the sky at any time and place and zoom in on any celestial object. If you are inspired by the universe, the sun, the moon, the stars, myths, legends, and all things magical and wonderful,  then this is for you!

Note that it will be necessary for participants to sit on the floor during the 40-minute presentation.

Time: 7:30 pm

Location: St. Peter’s Anglican Church, 755 Elm Street, Winnipeg

Cost: $10 for adults, $5 for children 10 and under. All proceeds go to WIMG.

Space is limited to 23 adults.

This retreat centre is affiliated with the Karma-Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism.

May 31 - June 5, 2019: Opening the Heart Through Metta Practice. Led by Shannon Stein, MSW and Pierre Zakarauskas, Ph.D.

October 10 - November 9, 2019: Intensive Practice. This month long silent meditation retreat offers an opportunity for practitioners to go deeper with a practice of their choice in the quiet of the rain forest. Throughout the month, there will be Dharma teachings and private interviews offered by Lama Shannon as well as four other teachers from across North America who will be onsite with her for one week at a time throughout the month.
