WINNIPEG INSIGHT MEDITATION
GROUP RESIDENTIAL RETREAT
September 29 - October 1, 2017
This is a silent retreat with the exception of morning instructions and Dharma talks. In this retreat, we will explore the Four Immeasurables (Brahma Viharas) — the qualities of lovingkindness (metta), compassion (karuna), sympathetic joy (muddita) , and equanimity (upekkha). These beautiful qualities of mind and heart are innate to our nature. We will take time with each one and practice orienting our minds toward their unique flavours. We will utilize mindfulness, wise contemplation, and the use of traditional phrases to help us access what are often known as the Heavenly Abodes.
